Australia Post Says NO to Administration Staff Uniforms

Post management has recently said NO to Administration Staff receiving either a replacement or initial issue of a Uniform in their ongoing effort of so called overhead costs reduction programme.

This weeks 2004 Annual Report declaring Post returning $371 million in profit after tax has only created further anger and bitterness amongst Postal Admin Staff who are planning to campaign against Post management in support for their claim of securing Uniform entitlements.

One particular Facility manager recently informed his Administration Staff, quote - "that he had no problem with staff being re-issued Uniforms". That was until he was convinced to change his decision by a junior management representative (whilst wearing his personal Post Uniform issue) that overhead costs could be saved within local workplace budgets if Uniforms were not supplied to Admin staff.

The hypocrisy continues where the junior management representative masquerades amongst his Admin Staff on a regular daily basis in his Post Uniform and who will no doubt hold his hand out for an additional cash bonus when the time comes around as part of his percentage cut at the expense of Staff receiving their Uniform.

More to be added as campaign gets under way.
