CPI STILL INCREASING

This week the ABS advised that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the June quarter was 6.1%. This followed a 5.1% for thr March quarter this year. The Federal Government is predicting that the CPI will peak next year.

AUS POST GET 6.1% PAY RISE

The CEO of Post has advised:

In line with the Australia Post Enterprise Agreement 2021, you are scheduled to receive a pay increase of 3% this year. I'm pleased to share that we have reviewed this increase in line with the Consumer Price InCorporate profits drive up CPIdex rise over the twelve months to the June 2022 quarter, and we will pass on a higher increase to you to align with CPI. You will receive a pay increase of 6.1% in the first full pay period in September.
