• Post offer NOT supported by CEPU despite allegations to contrary

• We clarified a revised offer. Some states supported the offer but overall was rejected
• Meeting today considered options - last attempt supported
• Post wanting a response else Post will go to vote without CEPU

SUNDAY 26 MAY 2013

• We rejected outright any change to APSS
• Post advised that they have now withdrawn the FAS freeze from EBA package
• Pay offer stands at 1.5%, 3%, 3% and 3%.
• Removal of FAS freeze will facilitate discussions this week.
• Further discussions are set for Wednesday this week. More in bulletins.

SUNDAY 19 MAY 2013

• On Tuesday Post put an improved proposal to CWU - it is not agreed but is a basis for further discussions
• The pay offer is Dec 13 - 1.5%, Dec 14 - 3%, Dec 15 - 3%, Dec 16 - 3% but conditions attached
• Offer will freeze FAS and therefore reduces retirement benefits - to pay for the pay rise
• Further discussions are set for this week

• Negotiations began in earnest this week. On Monday we held a union caucus and finalised our log of claims.
• On Tuesday we spent most of the day outlining our claims and listening to the Post claims. This was not a detailed claim but an overview.
• Negotiations continued this week with discussions of some claims such as the payroll system and the Disciplinary process
• Our various claims are being explained in detail and we are receiving some feedback. Details soon on our web site.
• More meetings commence on 3 and 4 April

• This week we continued our preparations for EBA8. First Bulletin sent out.
• A caucus of the negotiating team was held Thursday and Log of Claims refined as member feedback continues.
• On Friday a Summit was held at Australia Post with all the general managers and Ahmed Fahour. We were briefed on the Post financial outlook.
