NEW CLAIMS
For the management of new claims from 1 July 1997, GIO will progressively begin operations on the following dates:
Vic/Tas 1 July 1997
Qld 15 July 1997
SA/NT 29 July 1997
NSW 12 August 1997
WA 26 August 1997

From the above operating dates, all correspondence relating to new claims should be directed to GIO Australia.

EXISTING CLAIMS
GIO will progressively take over the management of existing workers' compensation claims from 1 October 1997. Telstra staff with an existing claim will be notified of new arrangements.
