The Award provided as follows: Leave loading is 17.5% of 4 weeks of your salary.

The payment of 17.5% is subject to a maximum payment of the equivalent of the ABS Male Average Weekly Total Earnings figure for the preceding September quarter. We take "preceding" to mean the September quarter. But alas - the ABS now only publishes this series on a biannual basis

- Shift workers usually do not get the loading, but they continue to receive their normal shift penalties. The shift penalties over the 4 weeks usually exceed the 17.5% loading, but are still paid at the full rate.
Normal Leave is 4 weeks per year. Shift staff can gain an extra weeks leave maximum at rate of 1/2 day for each Sunday worked.
