Background
Visionstream was established as a subsidiary of Telstra, to design and build the $4 billion Telstra Cable TV Rollout.
Visionstream's ownership changed in 2015 following the formation of Ventia,
a 50:50 investment partnership between CIMIC (formerly Leighton Holdings)
and Funds Managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management.
Ventia is a new, independent and dedicated services company integrating
Leighton Contractors Services, Thiess Services and Visionstream.
Ventia is now one of the largest services businesses in Australia with operations in Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia and Papua New Guinea. Visionstream continues its operations as one of the major players in the Australian and New Zealand telecommunications market.
