TELSTRA EBA
We expect to serve our Log of Claims this week.
While Telstra issue their own bulletins, we record the following issues proposed by Telstra:
- That the Agreements apply for a period of 3 years, with each EA nominally expiring on 1 October 2027;
- A commitment to commence negotiations no later than 4 months prior to the nominal expiry of each EA;
- Alignment of TPPL (Purple) EA employees to Telstra's first aid allowance and higher duties allowances;
- That aside from pay and pay related items (e.g. allowances, exemption thresholds etc) Telstra don't expect to have any other significant items to discuss.
VENTIA EBA
Bargaining has continued between the CWU and Ventia. Ventia put forward its position on several outstanding items. A summary of those responses are as follows:
1. ST3 level Classification for warehouse employees.....

Our next bargaining meeting is at the end of April.
NBN HOOK-UP WITH OUR LAWYER - FIELD ENGINEERS
You are invited to a Branch Zoom meeting to discuss the NBN proposals to change employment contracts. We anticipate having more written responses from NBN at that time.

Our Advice remains the same:
Do not sign a new contract until you consider and understand it. Obtain advice.
NBN FIELD ENGINEERS
We held another well attended meeting last Thursday evening and answered a number of questions.
We previously identified 17 issues to pursue.
We issued a Special NBN Bulletin during the week with various replies.- See below (dated 5 April 24).
We met NBN again on 12 April and received further written replies.

NBN RESPONSE TO ISSUES - 5 APR 24
NBN has given the following responses to our issues.
As outlined, nbn took time to consider an extension to the consultation period based on the feedback received. Following this, we wanted to confirm an extension to 11 April 2024 at 2pm. Last Friday, we confirmed with our employees that we would extend the timeframe. We anticipate announcing any final decision next week.
